Niners cornerback Richard Sherman appears to be progressing well through rehab as he continues to recovery from an Achilles injury.
Sherman returned to the practice field and was seen running for the first time Wednesday since suffering the injury last November while he was playing for the Seahawks.
The cornerback shared his progress in a video posted on his Instagram account with the caption “Getting there…..”
Sherman told ESPN that his Achilles “felt great” after running on it. He also said, “I’ll be ready for training camp, but (the team) is going to be overly cautious either way.”
The 30-year-old was released from the Seahawks in March, but was quickly picked up by the 49ers with the hopes he would be ready for full activities at some point between May and June. Sherman will need a little more time before returning to full-contact, but he is expected to be a full participant for training camp at the end of July.
