Dixon’s body was found on a Carlton North soccer pitch by a passer-by shortly before 3am on June 13.
Dixon, 22, had performed stand-up comedy at the Highlander Bar in the Melbourne CBD on June 12. The event finished at 10:30pm, and police alleged that Dixon was attacked on her way home.
Todd handed himself in on the day Dixon’s body was found, after CCTV footage was circulated by police.
Appearing via video link in Melbourne Magistrates Court, Todd pleaded guilty on Thursday afternoon to murder, rape, attempted rape and sexual assault.
He will appear in the Supreme Court of Victoria on November 13.
Andrew Nolch, 31, said his decision to graffiti a 25-metre-long lewd image on the grass in the park where her body was found was an “an attack on feminism”.
