Renowned Singer/Songwriter Fakhr-e-Alam set out on a journey across the world through the project called ‘Mission Parwaaz’ just a week ago, has now been detained by a Russian Airport.
The news of Fakhr-e-Alam having problems at the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport in Russia came through a Tweet that was posted by renowned TV actor/host Faysal Quraishi on behalf of Alam.
According to the tweet, Alam was detained because his visa expired last night, just two hours before he landed at the airport.
Now he is being forced by the Airport authority to fly back to Japan but since he is on a limited time mission, he cannot do so. He has now appealed to the government of Pakistan to help him. Alam was on his way to Alaska.
Bro please tweet on my behalf. I am being detained at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport because my visa expired 2 hours and date changed. They are forcing me to turn back to Japan. I cannot go to Japan because I had single entry visa. I appeal to Pak govt to request Russian govt to allow
me to continue my journey to Alaska. I don’t want to give up Mission Parwaaz. I need Pakistan’s support to carry on our flag to finish this.I have been in a room without food or water. No Wi-Fi. They didn’t give me my phone for 6 hours. I NEED HELP
Alam’s phone was also taken into custody for six hours. With no Wi-Fi available to him, he had no choice but ask Faysal Quraishi to convey his message.
If Alam is forced to fly back to Japan, he may never be able to complete Mission Parwaaz on time. Below was his last update before leaving Japan.
More about Mission Parwaaz
Mission Parwaaz is a childhood dream and passion project of Fakhr-e-Alam. The singer-songwriter received his private pilot license in October 2015 from Florida and since then has been preparing for this 28-day journey across the world.
To be able to make the flight happen, Alam had to work day and night. He faced a lot of problems on the way due to several issues which included sponsors backing out, insurance problems, insufficient funds and more. But he has finally garnered enough support to make this project happen.
